As you are aware the government has announced that churches can now reopen in accordance with their guidelines. I am pleased to inform you that the New Testament Church of God West Croydon has reopened as of Sunday 16 August and have adopted a phased return to Church.
In the first phase, members and visitors can attend the Sunday morning service at 11:00, which will continue to be live streamed. In line with social distancing requirements up to a maximum of 55 people can attend. An online registration systems is in place to manage attendance (more details below) . Sunday School, Bible Study, Prayer Meeting, Youth Groups and Nurturing Class will remain online.
Sunday school will however start at the earlier time of 9:00am to accommodate those registered to attend church.
In compliance with the guidelines:
- Those members who are considered vulnerable or over 70 or have underlying medical conditions are advised not to return to church in the first phase of reopening. We will advise when it is safe to return to church, if you are in that category, once measures have been relaxed further.
- The wearing of masks in church is mandatory from August 8th 2020.
- To protect our congregation all users of the building will be temperature checked.
- Only worship leaders are permitted to sing. The congregation are therefore advised to refrain from singing or raising their voices.
- Registration is online and is designed to be fair for all. We understand that for some of our brethren they may not have access to the internet. Please ask a family member to assist or contact a member of the Church & Pastor’s Council.
- Due to the overall restriction in numbers, a maximum of 5 people per family can attend service.
- Please note the attendance information collected at registration may be use for track and trace purposes. Registration will be reviewed going forward.
- A one way system will be in operation. Entry to the church will be from the right hand side of the building and up the stairs by the rostrum, leading to the sanctuary. The main entrance will be used as an exit only.
- Doors will open at 10:15 am and all registered members and visitors must be seated in the sanctuary by 10:45 am, prior to the live streamed service at 11:00. Members arriving after 10:45 will not be permitted into the sanctuary due to the requirements for live stream.
- Wherever possible please continue to submit your tithes and offering via bank transfer or standing order. In church, whenever that is not possible, please use the contactless portable device or if cash is used, please place it in an envelope and drop it in the receptacles located at the front of the church.
Registration:
- Registration for the following Sunday Service will be open at 7:00 pm of the previous Sunday.
- A maximum of 55 people (members and visitors) can attend church. A waiting list will automatically be enabled once that threshold is reached.
- To keep registration fair for all, if you would like to attend church, please ensure that you do not register for 2 consecutive Sundays in a row. This is to allow others a chance to attend. The administrator will be checking and may cancel your registration if this ocurrs. We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
- If however, tickets are still available after 5:00 pm on a Thursday evening and you have booked the previous week, you may register.
